Rising Stars Muay Thai 5: An evening full of exciting amateur Muay Thai matchups and title wins!

Written by Savanah Encelewski

Rising Stars has quickly climbed its way to the top as one of the most sought out Muay Thai promotions in the northern California region. No seat was left empty at the Track 7 Brewery as the promotion held its first event of the new year.

Amateur Muay Thai’s best prospects were given the chance Saturday night to display their hard work, grit, and tenacity in the ring and the fighters did not disappoint:

Fan favorite, Cody Huey, brought down the house with applause as he was handed the 165 lbs. championship belt after a decision win against Nedir Bey.

Nathan Aparicio collected his 5’th belt and propelled his record to 7-0 last night after a three-round war against Ace Hernandez (5-2).

Keelan Weekes put on a clinic against Sengsockhon Sourm with his relentless knees in the clinch.

Jermaine Soto defeated Andre Reed once again via unanimous decision earning him the 132 lbs. youth title.

Rising Stars is bringing Muay Thai into mainstream combat sports entertainment. This is just the beginning. Our amateur athletes are being bread and built now into the next world champions.
