De La Hoya reiterated that Fresno is in for a treat on Saturday as Hometown boxer Jose Ramirez looks to make a statement as the main event.

Jennah Creason kicked off by stating how she is “super excited to be apart of this event”. Creason a Mixed Martial arts hall of fame inductee and multi national champion in the amateurs’ now making her professional debut at 18 years old.

Marlen Esparza the WBA, WBC, WBO and ring magazine champion, shared very few words when asked about her opponent Gabriela Celeste Alaniz. Esparza stating , “I am here to fulfill my obligations of a mandatory rematch from the WBO”. Esparza and Alaniz first met back in July of 2023, where Esparza captured the WBO title via Majority Decision. Esparza showing frustration that the WBO ordered the mandatory rematch leaving us to think if there is bad blood between the two. Esparza versus Alaniz is the second broadcasted bout for the night.

Joseph Diaz Jr. was all business with his first words being “I’m locked in”. Diaz coming off a split decision loss, which most felt was a scraped by win by Diaz, faces Oscar Duarte who is also coming off a loss versus boxing superstar, Ryan Garcia. When introduced by Rick Mirigian, he was handed a cap that read “WAR”. Mirgian stating “this has the potential to be the fight of the night”.

Veril Ortiz jr. , our co-main event for the evening, took to the podium, and said he had very little to say which is very out of the ordinary. Ortiz Jr. excited to get out and make a statement and enjoy Fresno, was then asked about the rumors of Ortiz Jr’s. latest news on a potential fight against Tim Tszyu. He then reeled everyone back in to his fighter against Dulorme this saturday, reminding us that he is not overlooking him.

We then speak to the main event of the evening, Jose Ramirez. Ramirez took to the podium that he is grateful for everyone, saying it’s the “reason they want to bring boxing back to the central valley”. When asked what a win Saturday night would do for him , Ramirez stated he would be in the position to get those “big fights” such as Devin Haney and he would be willing to move up to meet Ryan Garcia at 145.

18 Year old Jennah Creason’s Debut, Esparza vs. Alaniz 2 tension, fight of the night contender Duarte vs. Diaz Jr., Vergil Ortiz Jr’s future and hometown kid Jose Ramirez looking to make a huge statement is a tale of boxing you dont get too often and you do not want to miss this.
